Members of Athlete to Atleta program attended the MLS Cup held Sunday, November 18th @ RFK Stadium as guest of Major League Soccer in recognition of their work collecting and shipping soccer equipment to youth in Latin America.
Athlete to Atleta is a program that empowers high school soccer enthusiasts to give back to their countries of origin via the collection and shipping of pre owned soccer equipment. The shipments provide an opportunity for young people in Latin America to benefit from the positive influence that comes from participating in organized sports. The American high school students learn real life skills in international shipping, international trade/relations, web design and a strong sense of worth.
