Who We are ...

Athlete to Atleta is an anti gang program created in Northern, Virginia, USA. The program was created to encourage North American high school students/soccer enthusiasts to give back to their countries of origin while providing them a strong connection with their home school via an after school and summer activity which they are passionate about, playing soccer.
Soon after the school year starts and ends Athlete to Atleta begins their World Cup Soccer tournaments. Each student who brings in a soccer item to donate is given a reversible jersey (which is in their school colors). Tournament play consists of a series of 6-on-6 games that run about an hour.
There are three categories of medal winners:
Overall Champions- Combination Equipment Raised & Tournament Play.
Most Equipment Raised/Donated-New/Used Soccer Equipment collected by the team from the community for developing countries.
Tournament - based on the wins/losses/points.
The North American students package the donated soccer cleats, balls, trophies and cloth from their community and transfer ownership to their fellow Latin American soccer enthusiasts. The shipments provide an opportunity for young people in Latin America to benefit from the positive influence that comes from participating in organized sports.
